Series Five.

05 Oct Series Five.

Hello Family. This week was amazing! And so inspiring. We learned that

God wants to help us win the battles in our lives- whether they be financial, professional, personal, emotional or spiritual He wants to share strategies with us that will liberate us and give us the victory we desire and He desires for us.

Sometimes the consequences of our actions can paralyze us and shut us down. Our disobedience and open the door for the spirit of robbery in every area of our lives. God will allow you to come to the end of yourself in your situation so that you return to Him and see Him as your only hope and source. God will have the prophet repeat the conversation He has been trying to have with you. It will confirm what you have already heard but did not act on or did not believe. It will have to do with relationship or kingdom affairs.

And yet as in the story of Gideon found in the book of Judges God calls us according to what he created us to be. According to our purpose. This is why names were so significant to him. It is literally a confession of our purpose.

Gideon found out that God will give us all the reassurance we need in order for us to complete the task he has given us to do. He humors us in our weakness. He will not abandon us. He will make provision for every vision that He gives. He will accompany you and assist you.

We also learned that God is very specific about how we worship him and do things. He will instruct us on how to approach Him.  Wrong worship will consume us and kill the very thing we want to preserve. We looked at the story of Nadab and Abihu two priests in the book of Levitcus 10:1-2,10 that decided to mix up their own recipe for incense to burn before the Lord. It made God angry and they were consumed by the fire that came out of it.

We were encouraged to consider what we are willing to give to God in order to get what we want from Him.

In order to win the war in our lives something has to be sacrificed. Something has to be done away with in order to clear the way for God’s blessings. You cannot continue doing the same thing and expect God to move on your behalf.

However, God is patient and willing to work with us and establish our faith if we continue to humble lay our requests fears and doubts before Him.

And God will reveal people to you. He will separate those who should stand with you and those who will be a liability. Gideon had to let a lot of people go before he was in the right position to fight.

Three things stood out as we studied this Sunday.

  1. God calls you as He sees you. Not as you see yourself.

God told Jeremiah the prophet “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.” Jeremiah 1:5 He has something in mind for each of us to accomplish!

  1. God wants to tell you how to win the battles in your life.

It doesn’t glorify Him when you continually struggle. Therefore He wants to equip you to be successful in every area of your life. But we need to hear from Him.

His word promises in James 1:5-8

“If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.”

  1. God is anxious to prove His faithfulness and glorify Himself to you and those who are watching your life.

God stands behind His word and says, “For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass.”

We can rest assured that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:28

Ask yourself:

What war do you need to win in your life?

What instruction have you received from God concerning it?

What do you need to let of or sacrifice in order to win your war?

Hope your faith is being built up! Mine sure is…
